I'm an operating room nurse. I have been working for 19 years. From more than 20 operations every day when I first started working, to hundreds now, the fast-paced and high-load work has overwhelmed everyone. However, dedication is everyone's responsibility and preciseness is everyone's attitude. What we face every day is repetitive and non-repetitive work, which tests our physical and mental strength. Repeat, we repeat the realization of various core systems, such as surgical patient safety verification system, surgical item counting system, surgical specimen management system, etc ... We repeatedly count gauze, 1, 2, 3... 10, and then do it again, again, sometimes joking, as if we only learned 10 in mathematics. Don't repeat, every patient is a special individual, and you can't predict everything during the operation. Every doctor also has a different style of operation. When many variable things come together, can I say that what we are doing is repetitive? I can't.
There are many people, instruments, consumables and docking departments in the operating room, which brings pressure to managers. Perfect management system and practical operation process will simplify tedious work and help newcomers get started quickly.
Operating room, a mysterious place, people outside can't see what we are doing and don't know what we are doing. Only imagination can fill the gap in our minds, while we guide our hearts with a cautious and independent spirit and persist in relieving the pain!
