Guangzhou Huangpu District People's Hospital was established on 1987. With the approval of the Ministry of Health and the Guangzhou Municipal Government, the Huangpu District People's Government handed over the whole hospital to Sun Yat-sen Medical University, and officially changed its name to Huangpu Hospital of Sun Yat-sen Medical University on February 1992. In July, 20001year, Huangpu Hospital affiliated to Sun Yat-sen Medical University was officially approved by Guangdong Higher Education Department. 200 1 10 After the former Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen Medical University merged to form a new Sun Yat-sen University, it was renamed the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. The hospital is located in the center of Huangpu District in the east of Guangzhou, adjacent to Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone in the east, with an area of 19065 square meters and a building area of 30079 square meters. It is the only large-scale general hospital in the east of Guangzhou that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care, focusing on orthopedics and trauma first aid. 1995 passed the national baby-friendly hospital evaluation, and 1998 won the "Top 100 Civilized Hospitals" in the province, and was repeatedly rated as an advanced unit in the city and district.
