The best time for high-pressure pomegranate is early spring, and the time I choose is to start high-pressure immediately after the Lantern Festival. High pressure in early spring can be taken in the first half of May.
On the old pile of pomegranates, choose branches that are entangled or suitable for the shape of a big tree. Select the location of bark girdling. The length is about 3.5 to 5 cm. Trim the wound at the position where the bark connects with the branches.
Use a pressure ball or plastic bag, first tie a section 2 to 3 cm below the wound and fix it, and then fill it with water moss or loose nutrient soil. Wrap the top of the plastic bag around the suitcase. Forming a raised bag. At the lowest position, make a small hole to facilitate drainage.
The needle syringe is placed on a plastic bag, a few air holes are pierced, and water is injected to moisten the soil. It is best to wrap the outer layer with opaque non-woven fabric. Roots grow and need to be protected from light.
Observe the dryness of the soil through the plastic bag. When it is dry, inject water with a syringe to wet the flower soil. Generally, after one month, you can observe that the root system has grown through the plastic bag. After 2 months, you can cut off the high pressure and put the pomegranate into the pot.
Pomegranate branches suitable for bonsai are generally older, and cutting is not recommended. Potting is the best way after high pressure root system grows.
