As the name implies, fluorescence refers to the light emitted by diamonds under the excitation of ultraviolet light. Some diamonds fluoresce, usually blue and white, and a few diamonds fluoresce yellow. This index is different from the 4C parameter of diamond and can be used as an auxiliary index to evaluate the quality of diamond. There is no indication on the domestic certificate at all, and the salespersons in jewelry stores rarely mention it to customers, but everyone in the industry knows that the degree of fluorescence does affect the price.
Fluorescent diamonds are generally cheaper.
When it comes to whether diamonds are fluorescent, it depends on diamonds. If you choose a white diamond, it will of course be brighter and have no fluorescence. If a white diamond has fluorescence, it will look dull and white.
If it's colored diamond, it depends on the details ~ Some green diamonds will look blue and look good if their blue fluorescence is strong.
So if you choose white diamonds, it will be better to choose non-fluorescent ones.
I hope I can help you.
