You cannot bring the following items into New Zealand:
Fresh fruits, vegetables, fungi, flowers and plants (including bulbs and garlands);
Plants, including cuttings, bulbs, rhizomes and tubers;
Popcorn and straw packaging materials;
Living animals, including insects, pets, fish, birds, turtles and so on. ;
Meat and meat products, including fresh meat, cooked meat and cured meat products (sausage, ham, dried meat, beef jerky, dried meat candy, spicy chicken, roast duck, moon cake with meat stuffing);
Freshwater fish and shellfish, including dried fish, frozen fish and pickled fish;
Egg products, including eggs (preserved eggs, marinated eggs, eggshell packaging materials), fresh milk, milk powder, butter, cheese, milk drinks and baby food;
Honey, pollen, propolis, honeycomb, honey medicine and other bee products;
Bird's nest, velvet antler, deer penis, bear gall, reptiles (such as snakes and lizards), chicken's gizzard-membrane and other dry animal raw materials that can be used as medicine;
Rare varieties and products (medicines, ornaments, jewelry, souvenirs and handicrafts) include American ginseng, radix aucklandiae, musk, orchids, ivory, snakeskin, whale bones, clams and various turtle shells;
