What do hand and foot deformities include?
According to the definition of the International Association for Congenital Malformations of Hand and Foot, congenital hand and foot deformities can be divided into seven categories. The first category is growth defects, including ulnar growth defects, radial growth defects, ulnar dysplasia and radial dysplasia. The most common type of radial dysplasia is floating finger and radial hand, and ulnar dysplasia includes elbow joint hand or ulnar deviation hand. The second category is this kind of split defect, which includes syndactyly. Repetitive deformity mainly refers to how long the finger is on the hand, how long the ulnar hand grows to the radial side and how long it grows to the ulnar side. The fourth category is overgrowth, including macrodactyly and unilateral hypertrophy, the fifth category is joint contracture, the sixth category includes skeletal dysplasia, and the seventh category is mainly growth restriction and dysplasia.
