Zhoushan Hospital is located in Dinghai District, Zhoushan City. It was established in May 2009 by the former Zhoushan People's Hospital, the Municipal Maternal and Child Health Hospital and the Municipal Orthopedic Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention and rehabilitation. It is a provincial-level civilized unit and a provincial-level demonstration civilized hospital. In 2005, the MCH District won the Yang Chongrui Maternal and Child Health Fund Award, the highest award in the field of MCH in China, and was rated as the advanced collective of the national health system by the Ministry of Health in 2007.
