The common complications of ear flap plastic surgery are:

1. Hematoma: Hematoma can cause auricle cartilage necrosis with serious consequences. The prevention method is careful hemostasis during operation and reliable dressing after operation. If bleeding is found after operation, the dressing should be opened immediately, carefully checked and the bleeding should be stopped again.

2. Infection: Under normal circumstances, if there is no hematoma, infection will not occur. If infected, it should be drained and wet packed with antibiotic gauze.

3. Pain: Severe postoperative pain indicates hematoma or infection. If the patient complains of headache, it is usually caused by too tight dressing, so it should be bandaged again.

4. Edema: Mild edema can last for several months and generally disappear naturally.
