The first step of construction preparation
(1) Check the appearance of the connected vehicle (body paint, car glass, leather seats, car contents). If there is any defect or property of the owner, the owner should be reminded in advance to remind him to take away valuables.
(2) Clean up the construction site and make the ground clean. If it is a dust-free film pasting room, open the spray, and do indoor dust reduction treatment first to ensure that the construction environment meets the requirements of film pasting.
(3) Prepare construction tools, including baking gun, scraper, plastic film watering can, film cutter, plastic film protective clothing, construction towel, door panel protective film and glass cleaner. The large towel should be covered on the hood, the small towel should be covered on the dashboard, and the front and rear seats of the vehicle should be covered with a layer of film protective clothing. The protective film of the door panel should be pasted with adhesive tape and the necessary glass cleaner should be used.
Clean the window
(1) It is suggested to use pure water instead of tap water, because tap water contains sand and many impurities, which will seriously affect the construction quality.
(2) Cleaning sequence: * Clean the outside of the window and move it clockwise along the car (starting from the co-pilot position). The outer surface of each glass should be cleaned to minimize the potential dust, so that the car film can be firmly attached to the glass during the cutting operation. Be sure to lower each cup slightly to scrub the top of the cup, because there is more dust there.
* Clean the interior of the window, except the glass surface, pay special attention to the sealing strip, defogging wire and black decorative glaze points on the edge. It is required to clean the glass surface gently, steadily and forcefully with an iron scraper, and pay attention to protecting the heating wire when blocking the glass after cleaning. This is mainly to avoid sand or other objects between the thermal insulation film and the glass after pasting, which will affect the construction quality. The inner surface of the glass must be cleaned with a strong liquid cleaner. Most surfaces can be scraped off with a shovel, and then cleaned with a nylon soft wipe. Finally, the window glass is scraped clean, and the frame is wiped clean with soft cloth and scrubbing paper to restore the clean state of the glass surface.
Step 3: Preliminary contour cutting
(1) Measure the size of the glass to be coated with a steel ruler, and cut the model of the thermal insulation film purchased by the customer from the film cutting table, which is generally required to be 5cm larger than the measured data (front and rear glass).
(2) Spray a small amount of window film installation liquid on the outer surface of the window glass, cover the window film on it, expose the film outward, carefully slide and position it, and then start cutting the size of the window film around the frame. Skilled installers can cut the frame directly by hand without damaging the frame. Installers often choose to cut, trim and install all the side windows before installing the rear window. Theoretically, easy before difficult is the best installation sequence.
Step 4: heat setting
(1) Heat setting technology is mainly aimed at the curvature and spherical bending of the front and rear windshield of the window. Almost all the front and rear windshields have slight spherical curvature, which makes it impossible to spread the window film on the glass. This phenomenon on the window film is called wrinkling. Portable hot gun can shrink and shape the window film accurately on the compound curved surface of most windows. Eliminate wrinkles on the surface. However, in the past, most rear windows needed to cut multiple pieces of glass to be installed on the spherical surface. Hot gun heat setting method is carried out before mounting and pasting, which not only saves a lot of time to deal with wrinkles, but also makes the appearance of window film more comfortable and beautiful. Thermoforming may be the most important single process to speed up the installation process and produce the most professional installation effect.
(2) In order to ensure that the molded thermal insulation film fits the radian of the glass more accurately and reduce the probability of glass explosion, it is suggested to dry bake first and then wet bake, so that the thermal insulation film can be fully pre-shrunk.
(3) After dry-baking, the thermal insulation film is basically shaped. In order to make the curvature of film and glass more consistent, it is necessary to spray water with a film drying scraper for shaping and wet drying.
Step 5: Fine contour cutting
(1) After heat setting, the car film is finely cut, and further finely cut according to the size and radian of the car glass, so as to ensure the smooth and tidy edge of the car film and avoid burrs and jagged edge.
(2) In the process of fine film cutting, it is recommended to have another technician to assist in lighting the car with a flashlight or a lighting lamp, so that the technicians outside the car can cut more finely and pay attention to the power of holding the knife to avoid scratching the glass.
Step 6: Paste the film.
(1) Tear off the protective film of the window film and spray it on the exposed installation glue with installation liquid. In this way, the pressure-sensitive adhesive temporarily loses its viscosity, allowing the window film to slide smoothly on the clean glass inner surface. After the installation liquid is sprayed on the adhesive surface of the window film, the installation liquid is also sprayed on the inner surface of the glass.
(2) As the protective film is peeled off and the installation liquid is sprayed on the adhesive layer between the glass and the window film, it is necessary to pay attention to the careful and rigorous sliding of the front and rear windshields in a large area to ensure accurate positioning.
Step 7: Extrusion process
(1) After gently positioning the adhesive film on the glass with a soft scraper, immediately spray the installation liquid on the surface of the window adhesive film again to lubricate the surface to be extruded.
(2) In order to avoid scratching the surface of the window film, it is suggested to cover the window film with a torn protective film, and clean the residual moisture between the film and the glass with a Teflon hard scraper. Use a special water squeezing tool to remove all "bubbles" and as much installation fluid as possible. After a few days, the residual moisture is slowly discharged through the window film, and the drying time of the window film varies with the climate, humidity, structure of the window film and the amount of residual moisture after extrusion.
Edge check
(1) Check all edges of the window film and seal it with a Teflon hard scraper (or other tools of the same series). All edges must be sealed to prevent air, moisture and dust particles from infiltrating into the bottom of the window film from the edges during curing.
(2) In the sealing process, it is necessary to coat a thin layer of absorbent material (paper towel or cotton cloth) on the edge of the tool to suck out the extruded water.
Referring to Bertard's construction manual, you should be able to complete the construction independently. Thank you. I hope I can help you.
