Singing for seven years: listening to Hubei folk songs and tasting local flavor
China has a vast territory, unique historical origin, ethnic composition, local customs, natural landscape and other characteristics, and it also competes with each other in folk music.

I have always liked folk songs. With the "Learning Ability" app, I often listen to a few folk songs first along the path of "broadcasting", "listening to culture" and "China folk songs". There are several sections such as "classic folk songs", "new folk songs" and "national songs". I patronize more "classic folk songs", covering the folk songs of Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Shandong, Gansu, Northeast China, Jiangnan, Tibet, Hunan, Hebei, Jiangsu, Qinghai, Yunnan, Xinjiang and other places.

Generally speaking, when people are young, they are like birds with hard wings, hoping to fly higher and farther. When they are old, they always think of the sky when they were young, just like tired birds. With convenient transportation and developed communication, there is not much homesickness, but the nostalgia for the homeland is increasing. I naturally listen to Hubei folk songs more because of the consideration of my hometown party, nostalgia, local accent and customs.

When it comes to interesting places in Hubei province, we have to mention Shennongjia forest area. Shennongjia, located in the northwest of Hubei Province, is the only administrative division named after "forest area" in China. When you go to Shennongjia, you can generally go to Wudang Mountain, the famous Taoist mountain and the most exotic and dangerous Three Gorges reservoir area, because they are in a tourist zone and close at hand.

Our Chinese nation is called the descendants of the Yellow Emperor, among which Emperor Yan is Shennong. Shennongjia was named after Shennongjia used wood as a ladder to collect medicinal materials, save people from illness and teach people to cultivate crops.

When I was in college, I knew that there was a teacher in the biology department of our school who was fascinated by Shennongjia's "savage" research, and the media also made many reports. At that time, I yearned for Shennongjia.

Shennongjia is vast and sparsely populated. According to the latest statistics, the current resident population is less than 60,000, covering an area of more than 3,200 square kilometers. Here, nature is well protected, and it is the first area in China to include three famous names, namely "Man and Biosphere Nature Reserve", "World Geopark" and "World Heritage" recognized by UNESCO. There is Shennongding, the highest point in Hubei Province and even Central China, with an altitude of 3 105.4 meters, and Shizhu River, the lowest point, with an altitude of 398 meters and a drop of 2707.4 meters. I'm afraid such a big drop in the same area is only found in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, which is rare in the mainland. In this way, biodiversity and landscape diversity can be seen in this narrow area, which is only half the size of Shanghai.

In Shennongjia, there is a folk art-Banggu. In ancient times, the bang drum was a percussion instrument used by the villagers in Shennongjia to drive away wild animals and protect crops from damage. Later, the villagers used it to convey their love and pass away the loneliness of the long night. Later, the bang drum evolved into an instrument for adults to beat emotions and render the atmosphere on festive days. The song "Drumming in Shennongjia" is about beating drums to drive away wild animals.

Turn from the northwest corner of Hubei Province to the northeast corner, where there is the famous Dabie Mountain. Dabie Mountain is not unique to Hubei Province, but at the junction of Hubei, Henan and Anhui provinces.

The whole Dabie Mountain is about 380 kilometers long from east to west and about 175 kilometers long from north to south, involving 36 counties and covering an area of nearly 654.38+10,000 square kilometers, which is equivalent to the size of Zhejiang Province. It is precisely because of its vast territory and dense mountains and forests that it is very suitable for "guerrilla warfare" here in wartime. During the Agrarian Revolution, the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet Area was second only to the Central Soviet Area in southern Jiangxi and western Fujian. After that, in addition to the fourth army, there was the Red 25 Army, and the fourth detachment was the second. By the time of the War of Liberation, Liu Deng's army had marched thousands of miles into the Dabie Mountains, which was the prelude to the War of Liberation.

I crossed the Dabie Mountains at least four times by car, not for business, not for tourism, but purely for visiting relatives in my hometown. There was a long-distance bus from my hometown to Shanghai at that time. I only need to walk more than ten miles from my hometown and wait on a main road, so I can arrive in Shanghai within 24 hours. As long as you get on the bus, you don't have to turn around on the road. A little tired, but convenient. The whole journey passes through Huangpi in Wuhan, then Macheng in Hubei, then Jinzhai in Anhui, Gushi in Henan, Huoqiu in Anhui and Hefei in Anhui. Some sections here are located in Dabie Mountain. Jinzhai is the "General County", Macheng and Huang An (now "Hong 'an") are the places of "Jute Uprising". Arriving in Hefei is basically equivalent to walking halfway. Coincidentally, after passing through here, it is either after nightfall until late at night, or through the night to meet the first dawn.

Such a vast Dabie Mountain area, in addition to the unusually rich "red culture", there are many cultural landscapes and natural landscapes. Dabie Mountain is the main producing area of tea, chestnut and sweet persimmon in China. For example, Guapian, Xiaotiaojiu, Huoshan Huangya, Xinyang Maojian, Xinyang Black Tea, Hanlv and Cuilan Yuexi are all well-known varieties. Among them, the annual output of tea in yingshan county, Hubei Province ranks third in China, and the annual output of chestnut in Luotian County ranks first in China. There used to be a classmate of Luotian University whose brother-in-law worked hard in Shanghai for many years and came from yingshan county. With this relationship, he is no stranger to these two places.

In addition, Tiantai Mountain in Hongan, Hubei, Triangle Mountain in Xishui, Guifeng Mountain in Macheng, Baodaofeng Forest Park, Taohuachong in Yingshan and Tiantangzhai in Luotian, Hubei are all interesting places. Don't think that there is nothing to see in the backcountry of the old district. In fact, it is precisely these places that have preserved relatively complete beauty. Goodbye Dabie Mountain sings the beautiful landscape and simple villagers here.

After leaving Dabie Mountain, we looked west at Qingjiang River, which spans Enshi and Yichang. There are many tributaries in Hubei section of the Yangtze River Basin. The biggest tributary is the Hanjiang River or Hanshui River, which I mentioned repeatedly when I introduced our Jianghan Plain. This is the only river I have to cross between Shanghai and my hometown. I also swam in the Han River near the Yangtze River in Wuhan.

The secondary tributary is Qingjiang River, but it seems that its popularity is not high and it is not well understood. The most beautiful scenery in my hometown and a book witnessing friendship describe the elegant life of Youyou in detail. You can walk around and have a look. Youyou said that this is "one step at a time", and then look at the beautiful pictures posted by Youyou, which are not only picturesque, but also mouth-watering food along the way. It seems that people have an impulse to "come and go".

I am thinking that the Qingjiang River mentioned by Youyou is probably only a part adjacent to Yichang, because Qingjiang River is 423 kilometers long. According to Li Bai's exaggeration that "a thousand miles a day goes from Baidicheng to Jiangling", Qingjiang River can also be called "a thousand miles away". In fact, the Qingjiang River flows through seven counties and cities, including Lichuan, Enshi, Xuanen, Jianshi, Badong, Changyang and Yidu, where it joins the Yangtze River flowing eastward. It can be seen that most of the basin is in Enshi, not Yichang.

Qingjiang River was called Yishui in ancient times, which is not difficult to understand, because the upper and lower reaches of the river basin and its surrounding areas are the traditional settlements of Tujia ancestors-Ba people. As for being named "Qingjiang River"-"The water is clear and clear, and people can see it clearly"-I guess it may be mainly because the land is vast and the population is sparse, the relationship between man and nature is relatively harmonious, vegetation protection is better, and soil erosion is less, so "Qingshan" has a "water show".

Over the years, I have discovered a phenomenon. In terms of natural scenery, ethnic minority areas often retain pure and beautiful original ecology, and the unique culture created by ethnic minorities is worth seeing. Qingjiang River Basin is a traditional inhabited area of Tujia and Miao people, and it has formed the reputation of "Qingjiang Gallery", which is 800 miles long, just like the "Shili Corridor" in Guilin. At present, it should hide a lot of unknown beauty. When I was a child, there was a family in our production team. The hostess was from Yuan 'an County near Qingjiang River Basin, and later the family moved to Yuan 'an. In addition, I have a cousin who married far away in Yuan 'an County when she was young. At that time, I only knew that Yuan 'an County produced pine trees thicker than washbasins, but I didn't expect them to live in the adjacent area of this picturesque Qingjiang River basin.

I guess the Qingjiang River is also formed by the confluence of many streams. Otherwise, how can the song "Qingjiang Paipai" discharge the streams under Baizhang Cliff as ecstasy as Qiandao Lake and Lijiang River?

Just now, we saw the word "Yaomei" in the lyrics of Qingjiang Paipai. In fact, the word "Yaomei" is directly placed in the title of the song, and the most famous one is probably the song "Yaomei lives in Thirteen Villages".

Why are there so many "girls"? I have no textual research, and I am too lazy to ask. I think, in our Hubei area, "Laoyao" refers to the youngest one, so "Yaomei" is also a "little sister", and this "little sister" is not necessarily the smallest or even the smallest in the current context, but just a rhetoric that reflects close relations, just like the northeast people used to call it "big brother", "big sister" and "big sister".

I didn't feel used to listening to this song at first, but then I thought that since it was sung by a girl loved by thousands of people, I should be enthusiastic and free and easy. Moreover, the subjectivity of a new generation of women can be highlighted, and only this smell can reflect equality between men and women.

There is another mystery that I couldn't understand before, that is, "My sister lives in Thirteen Villages" is a folk song in Hubei, but the real "Thirteen Villages" is not in Hubei, but in Xiaonanhai Town, Qianjiang District, Chongqing, which is adjacent to Hubei. Thirteen villages of Tujia nationality are a scenic spot in 4A, covering an area of 6.5 square kilometers. There are 13 typical Tujia courtyards, among which nearly 1000 Tujia people live in more than 200 families. Later, it was made clear that these thirteen villages were on the edge of Xianfeng County, Hubei Province. Perhaps for Tujia people who live together, Shisanzhai has become a symbol of their historical memory and external representation. Because they are neighbors, Qianjiang District of Chongqing and Xianfeng County of Hubei have frequent interactions and often jointly hold folk song competitions.

We talked about one east and one west, and then look at the middle, which is my hometown-Jianghan Plain. Jianghan Plain starts from Zhijiang in Yichang in the west, ends in Wuhan in the east, ends in Zhongxiang in the north and ends in Dongting Lake Plain in the south, covering an area of more than 46,000 square kilometers, mainly in Jingzhou, including Jingzhou District, Shashi District, jiangling county, Gongan County, Jianli City, Shishou City, honghu city City and Songzi City, as well as Xiantao City, Qianjiang City and Tianmen City, which originally belonged to Jingzhou. Among them, Honghu, Jianli, Xiantao, Qianjiang and Tianmen are typical.

There are also many folk songs in Jianghan Plain, and Hong Hushui Wave is a folk song in Years that I mentioned in Singing: I like several songs that "take part in accidental amusement". There are many kinds of folk songs in Jingchu, including Tian Ge, chant, folk songs, love songs, lantern songs and folk songs. In Jianghan Plain, the average elevation is about 27 meters, which is quite different from the surrounding mountainous areas, especially in ethnic minority areas in terms of language and customs. So there are differences between folk songs. In Jianghan Plain, it is not a folk song, but a "Tian Ge". The theme of Tian Ge is very rich, including mowing songs, beating wheat songs, carrying water songs, yangko songs and pulling weeds songs. In addition, it is not as loud, graceful and loud as the folk songs in western Hubei.

In Jianghan Plain, the content of folk songs is very rich, which can be roughly divided into eight kinds, namely: chant, Tian Ge, minor, lantern song, folk song, children's song, revolutionary historical folk song, Xinmin song and so on. Among them, chant was particularly popular when I was a child, such as chant playing, chant playing, chant carrying, chant pulling, chant squeezing and so on. Especially beating in prison is more common. When we were young, we needed to play when we were building a house or playing the threshing floor. Generally, we carried it and rarely flew it. There are four people, eight people and ten people fighting, and the lead singer is usually Uncle Wang, who usually stutters a little. Usually he doesn't speak fluently, but the lead singer is coherent and melodious, which is particularly melodious and euphemistic in the quiet night sky.

Happy Song of Tianmen City is a well-known folk song in Jianghan Plain. Tianmen is also the only place for me to go back to my hometown, whether by car or by train. This place was originally unknown, but it is famous because of the dislocation of the names of two high-speed railway station stations. Tianmen South Station is closer to Xiantao City, the hometown of the founder and famous singer Cai Qin (note: Xiantao City and honghu city used to belong to mian yang in history, so Cai Qin's ancestral home is mian yang, but today it belongs to honghu city), while Xiantao West Station is closer to Tianmen City. In this way, it is not "happy" to arrive at these two stations singing "happy songs".

There is a Hubei folk song, which we have to say, and that is Dragon Boat Tune. This is because this song, which was performed by Xie Lisi and Wang Jieshi in 1980s, quickly swept the country and became one of the most famous folk songs in Hubei.

The hometown of Dragon Boat Tune is Lichuan City below Enshi. A few years ago, many Shanghainese bought houses in Enshi, and many bought houses in Lichuan. On the one hand, Enshi, the provincial capital, as a prefecture-level city and Lichuan as a county-level city, are both on the high-speed rail line from Shanghai to Chongqing; On the other hand, it is about 2000 meters above sea level, which is very suitable for summer. Of course, a square of more than 3,000 yuan in previous years was cheaper, which was also a factor. Another factor-many people don't notice it-is that Enshi itself is "beautiful everywhere". Xiangxi, Shizhu County in the east of Chongqing, Qianjiang District and northern Guizhou, which are connected with Enshi, are also good places to travel, especially in summer. Xiangxi, for example, is famous for Zhangjiajie and the ancient city of Fenghuang, and many people flock to it, while Enshi is still an undeveloped virgin land.

This area, including the borders of Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan and Guizhou, is mainly inhabited by Tujia and Miao people, with mountains and valleys everywhere, dense rivers and beautiful scenery.

Finally, talk about Enshi folk songs and six mouthfuls of tea. This song is also very famous. Sounds lively, cheerful and humorous

In fact, we mentioned earlier that there is a song called "Ten Bowls of Wine" in jiangling county, Jianghan Plain, which is even earlier than this song called "Liukou Tea". Unfortunately, it didn't do much promotion, and now it's slowly gone.

If recommended, Enshi is so rich in tourism resources that outsiders don't know it. Even people from Wuhan, Hubei, don't go there to buy a house and travel. Many years ago, there was a "Tujia sesame seed cake" in Shanghai, which came from Enshi. I don't know why it disappeared. Shandong pancakes are all over the street.

The water in Qingjiang River must be clear, and the tea made from it must be sweet and delicious. Inviting guests to tea is, of course, the way to entertain guests. The problem is to attract more guests.
