Do you need a business license to open a canteen in rural areas?
Opening a canteen in rural areas requires a business license.

Opening a canteen in the village requires a business license, because the business license is a legal certificate issued by the administrative department for industry and commerce to industrial and commercial enterprises and individual operators to engage in certain production and business activities. Its format shall be uniformly stipulated by the State Administration of Market Supervision. Different from selling agricultural and sideline products and daily necessities in bazaars or government-designated areas, business licenses may not be required in these cases. As a fixed business place, the canteen sells a wider range of goods, and the laws, regulations and market supervision requirements involved are more complicated. Therefore, it is necessary to apply for and obtain a business license according to law in order to legally carry out business activities.

Business scope of rural commissary:

1. Sales of daily necessities: including detergents, sanitary products, kitchen utensils, etc.

2, food retail: such as convenience food, drinks, candy, snacks, etc. ;

3. Tobacco and alcohol sales: provide all kinds of tobacco products and alcoholic beverages;

4. Sales of agricultural products: sales of agricultural means of production such as seeds, fertilizers and pesticides;

5. Sales of communication products: such as telephone recharge cards and mobile phone accessories;

6. Stationery sales: including stationery, books, magazines, etc.

To sum up, it is necessary to apply for a business license to open a canteen in rural areas, because it is a legal document for legal operation and involves complicated laws, regulations and market supervision requirements.
