There is a tower in Mengcheng, Bozhou, Anhui. What's the name of that tower? How many floors are there?
It is called the Ten Thousand Buddha Pagoda, also called the Flower Arrangement Pagoda, because there are many small Buddha statues embedded in the outer wall of the pagoda.

Commonly known as "Mengcheng Brick Pagoda", also known as Cishi Temple Pagoda. 13 floor

It was first built in Tang Dynasty or Song Dynasty. It is named after more than 8,000 glazed pottery buddhas embedded inside and outside the tower. The tower is made of water mill blue bricks, with a height of 37.76 meters, thirteen floors and an octagonal plane. Lotus petals, bucket arches and flower windows are skillfully placed under the dense eaves. Each floor has a symmetrical arch of the boiler door, and the stairs in the four-sided tower turn around, and each floor is different. The top is equipped with a 50-fold phase wheel, which weighs more than 1000 kilograms. Buddhist sculptures of the Qing Dynasty are still preserved in the underground palace at the bottom of the tower. This pagoda, which once stood in Cishi Temple, has been destroyed. It is a provincial key cultural relics protection unit.

The former site of Cishi Temple is the primary school next to it. Now, during the Cultural Revolution, the destroyed Buddha statue of Mengcheng No.3 Primary School was demolished, smashed and turned into a primary school.

In fact, the 13 floor can only climb to about 10 floor. Maybe it's only to the ninth floor now, because the more you go up, the smaller the space, and fat people and adults may not be able to squeeze in.

Every point on the octagonal plane is hung with a wind chime. Standing under the tower a few years ago, you can still hear the bell after the wind blows. Now it's ruined. There's not much left.

There used to be a big disk hit by lightning at the top of the tower.

During the Anti-Japanese War, there was a fierce exchange of fire near the tower. I don't know whether the Japanese or the national army used the tower as a cover. A layer of Buddha statues (discovered when I was a child) can be found near the tower, and many Buddha statues have been dug up by the resident Japanese army.

In recent years, it has also become a place for suicide.
