1. Cangshan District is located in the south of the main urban area of Fuzhou, surrounded by rivers, and governs the whole Nantai Island. The name of this area comes from the front of the salt warehouse, because it was rich in salt in ancient times. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, a salt warehouse was built at the northern foot of Zangqian, hence the name.
2. Jinshan Street is located in the south of Cangshan District, Fuzhou, and is named after a legend. According to legend, the snake king is enshrined in Jinshan Temple. One day there was a flash flood, and the snake king protected the villagers from leaving safely, while the temple was washed away by the flood. In memory of the snake king, the villagers raised funds to build Jinshan Temple.
