Salute 1 consists of docking module, track module and service module. The docking module is designed for docking with spacecraft, and it is the only way for astronauts to enter and leave the space station. The orbital module is similar to the guest room of a space "hotel". It consists of two cylinders with diameters of 3 meters and 4 meters respectively. The cabin maintains the same climate as the earth, and is the place where astronauts work, rest, eat and sleep. The service cabin is equipped with engine and fuel. Salute space station weighs 18 tons and is about 14 meters long. It generally runs in an altitude orbit 200 ~ 250 kilometers from the earth's ground.
