Architectural characteristics of waterfront stage
The main building compound faces south, with six gates facing the street, a foyer and left and right wing rooms. The stone gate is surrounded by cloisters on three sides and has a patio inside. The main hall is three rooms wide and seven columns deep, and the hall is very large. The second and third entrances are three rooms wide and five columns deep, and each entrance has a small door on the east side leading to the second clause. The other courtyard consists of a study, a Buddhist temple, a kitchen, a dining room and a warehouse. Further east, there is a small door leading to the third garden. The biggest feature of the living room is the waterside pavilion and the stage, which is the place for gathering and acting in the house. The pool covers an area of 56 square meters, and there are ornamental fish such as crucian carp, goldfish and tortoise in the pool. The stage built above the pool, sitting south to north, covers an area of about 30 square meters. There is a dressing room behind the stage, a dining room on the left and right sides outside the pool, a rockery and a snow cave behind the dining room, a pavilion in front of the stage, sitting facing south, a front porch and a back hall, a bucket-type wooden frame, and a single eaves to rest on the top of the mountain, where you can have a party, watch a play or climb high and overlook. The gray plastic on the wall and roof is exquisite and unique in style. It is the best preserved waterside stage in Fuzhou. 1992 was announced as a district-level cultural relics protection unit.
