It has been ranked among the top 100 counties with comprehensive economic strength in western China for three consecutive years. In 2005, the county was rated as the first batch of labor export counties in China by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. In the same year, it advanced ten places in the ranking of county economy in Guangxi and won the progress award of county economy development in Guangxi. It has successively won the honorary titles of China advanced county for comprehensive rural education reform, China advanced county for culture, China advanced county for reaching sports standards, China popular science demonstration county, Guangxi comprehensive social security management demonstration county, and Guangxi double-support model county.
