There are more than 50 songs played, such as Crying for the Land, Downtown, Champion Parade, Your Legend, Open the Door, Small Door and Beside the Dressing Table.
Many singers in Ji 'an tea-picking opera often use a signboard, such as "Mao Peng Ji" and "Yang Mai", which are good at narrative and telling, so there are many songs in the play and the lyrics are colloquial. In the past, men disguised as women, and the traditional singing method used a combination of truth and falsehood.
Traditional accompaniment instruments include erhu, suona, Tanggu, Su Gong, Da Gong, Da Gong, Xiao Gong and Zhu Di. The gongs and drums for picking tea are Bubugao, Bridge Hammer, Head Beating, Head Beating to Bridge Hammer, Short Hammer, Crying, Head Scratching, Head Tilting and Gong Swinging.
There are eight professional tea picking troupes in Ji 'an, namely Ji 'an Tea Picking Troupe, Ji 'an Tea Picking Troupe, Taihe Tea Picking Troupe, Yongfeng Tea Picking Troupe, Xiajiang Tea Picking Troupe, suichuan county Tea Picking Troupe and Anfu Tea Picking Troupe. In recent years, Ji 'an tea-picking drama has developed rapidly because of its repertoire creation.
Modern plays such as Far Mountain, Country Judge and Half Door are well received.
