The Historical Evolution of Jing 'an Park
In the 24th year of Guangxu (AD 1898), Jing 'an Temple Road Cemetery, commonly known as "Yangfen Mountain", was built here by the Ministry of Public Concession. 1953, the Municipal People's Government invested180,000 yuan to change the cemetery into a park, which opened on June 3rd. 1955.

1966 After the Cultural Revolution began, the office building of the Shanghai Municipal Committee adjacent to the park was beaten, and the lawn on the west side of the park was turned into a poster posting area, and rows of reed mats were covered with posters.
