Girls, unmarried or married women can be distinguished by their headdresses. Women wear red cloth on their heads, colorful patterns embroidered on sleeves and trouser legs, silver buttons on their chests, silver earrings and silver collars. 1, Danu Festival

Also known as Erjiu Festival, Zunniang Festival, Zhuzhu Festival and Yao Year, it is a traditional Yao festival in Mashan, Du 'an, Bama, Pingguo, Long 'an and Dahua that calls itself Bunu. Danu, Yao means old loving mother. It is said that May 29th of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Milotuo, the mother of Yao nationality. Later generations set this day as their birthday out of worship.

2. Canteen Festival

Traditionally, it is held every three to five years. It is usually held on October 16 of the lunar calendar and lasts for three or nine days. Before the festival comes, every household must inform relatives and friends from far and near to visit in advance. On the night of the festival, young men and women sang love songs around the bonfire and expressed their feelings with songs, which lasted for a long time until they stayed up all night. During the festival, people will wear new clothes, headscarves and brocade chicken feathers.

3. Laundry Festival

The sixth day of the sixth lunar month is a traditional festival with a long history, which can be traced back to the Han Dynasty and continues to this day. It's just after a slight summer heat on the sixth day of June, and the weather is hot. According to legend, this day's sunshine has the greatest disinfection effect, and the dried items will not be moldy and moth-eaten.
