What is a tattoo for?
The role of tattoos: Some ethnic groups use tattoos to express their status, identity or membership of a certain group, but the most common motive is beauty.

Disadvantages of tattoos:

First, from a medical point of view, tattooing is a harmful behavior.

First of all, stabbing and tattooing the human body with a needle tip is undoubtedly a kind of harm to human skin cells and nerve cells, and it is an unhealthy behavior.

Secondly, if the tattoo needle is not disinfected properly, it will spread many diseases, and may even spread viruses such as hepatitis B and AIDS.

Thirdly, some people with special physique often have skin allergies, pathological reactions or scars after tattooing.

Skin is the first line of defense of human body, which can resist the damage of external mechanical, physical and chemical stimuli and the invasion of pathogenic microorganisms, and plays an important role in human health. Tattoos, on the other hand, destroy this line of defense, making the human body's ability to resist various stimuli decline, especially prone to bacterial infection. Most tattoo artists don't know medicine, and disinfection is not strict or not at all. When the needle tip pierces the skin, bacteria and other pathogenic microorganisms are brought into the body, causing various infectious diseases, such as furuncle, carbuncle, erysipelas and impetigo. If the wound area is large, the bacteria are highly toxic, and even grow and multiply in the blood, they will suffer from septicemia, which is life-threatening.

Secondly, the disadvantage of tattooing is that it may be difficult to find a job if tattooed on an obvious part, because some work units refuse to accept people with tattoos.

Third, there are many kinds of pigments for tattoos, many of which are chemical substances. These chemicals will cause dermatitis and allergies after entering the human body, and even make local itching, pain, burning sensation, numbness and so on. Some will lead to cell mutation. This is the prelude to cancer. Moreover, it is extremely difficult to remove tattoos. At present, a special drug has not been developed to remove them. The only way is plastic surgery. Tattoo pigments for tattoos contain heavy metals such as lead and chromium and other compounds. These colored chemical synthetic substances are potentially harmful to human health and are one of the factors that induce skin cancer.
