Steel ring damage can be roughly divided into the following categories:
1. Rim scratch: This kind of damage is quite common. When the rim of a car is close to the edge of the road, it is easy to rub against the outer edge of the hub when it rotates. This situation can be repaired and renovated by professional welding technology.
2. The rim of the steel ring is cracked and damaged: when the automobile rim is hit by a hard object, the rim of the steel ring will break. In this case, the steel ring can be repaired with a special aluminum welder. Then, after welding, the steel ring is renovated and reshaped.
3. Gap at the rim of the steel ring: When the steel ring collides with a stone or a hard object, the rim of the automobile steel ring will bump into a gap, which needs to be filled with special steel ring filler ash.
4. Steel ring distortion: When the steel ring has been hit, it is a serious situation. If the internal structure of the hub is not damaged, it can be corrected by plastic repair and special straightening machine. But if the deformation is too serious, the steel ring can be replaced directly.
Car rims are also called wheels. According to the material classification, it can be divided into steel wheels and alloy wheels. These two different wheels have their own advantages and disadvantages. Steel wheel hub has simple manufacturing process, relatively low cost and strong metal fatigue resistance, but it also has some disadvantages, such as heavy weight, large inertial resistance, poor heat dissipation and easy rusting. Alloy wheels just make up for the problem of steel wheels, but the price is more expensive.
