Jiangzhou has maintained the status of twin cities on both sides of Jialing River for at least three centuries. The specific time of the disappearance of its northern Fucheng is impossible to verify, but it will never be earlier than 520 AD (when Li Daoyuan wrote "Notes on Water Classics").

In 58 1 year, Emperor Wendi borrowed the old name of "Chongqing" from Jialing River and changed Chuzhou to Yuzhou, and Chongqing was called "Chongqing" for short. Considering that Li Yan Dacheng in the lower part of the city can't see Jialing River at all, and only the northern Fucheng in Jiangbei is related to Jialing River, it is very likely that the northern Fucheng still has a considerable position in the Sui Dynasty.
