The Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall is located under the general platform in the southeast of Liubeichi Park in Yibin. It was built to commemorate Zhuge Liang, the prime minister of the Shu Han Dynasty during the Three Kingdoms period, when he conquered Yunnan southward and passed through Rongzhou (today's Yibin). The ancestral hall was built in the Song Dynasty to commemorate Huang Tingjian, a poet and calligrapher of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is also known as the Valley Temple. During the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty, the prefect Hu Feng built the temple and enshrined the statue of Zhuge Wuhou.
In the first year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty, the temple and the area around Liubeichi were destroyed by war, and were rebuilt in the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856). In Xinchou Mou, Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (October 1901), Wen Huan, the prefect of Xuzhou, wrote a plaque in the Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall and couplets. Guandi Temple is the back hall of the Prime Minister's Temple, but it is its own courtyard. There are statues of Guan Yu, Guan Ping and Zhou Cang inside the hall. Outside the hall, the ancient stone towers and furnaces are filled with green smoke, and the ancient stone drums, stone lions and stone flower tables stand proudly. In the temple, there are more than ten plaques and couplets collected by emperors Huizong Zhao Ji of Song Dynasty, Shenzong Zhu Yijun of Ming Dynasty, Kangxi Emperor, Qianlong Emperor, Xianfeng Emperor and Tongzhi Emperor of Qing Dynasty.
