What are the steps of car painting?
The traditional car body panel painting process generally requires the following processes:

First, sheet metal correction

This is the preliminary plastic work of painting in automotive sheet metal.

Second, scraping (molding)

After the automobile body is corrected by sheet metal, there are still some defects that cannot be compensated by sheet metal work. Even if new parts are replaced, there will be imperfections. In order to be more perfect, we must use sculpture techniques to make up for the defects.

Third, automotive sheet metal painting: automotive sheet metal painting is usually divided into three steps.

<1> Primer: it fills sand marks and micropores at the bottom of the workpiece, increases the adhesion of the lower coating, and has the function of defect indication.

< 3 > topcoat: topcoat is divided into single-layer paint and multi-layer paint, which is the color fixing layer and decorative protective layer.

Four, the body panel painting paint surface treatment:

Paint surface treatment is the last process of topcoat. When the paint surface is dry and firm, the defects on it will be dealt with. If we try our best, some imperfections will flow down, and then there will be only later remedies. We call it "mirror therapy". First, use 1200-2000 mesh beauty sandpaper for leveling and polishing (2500 mesh if necessary), then use coarse wax composed of pumice or clay for polishing to remove traces of sandpaper, then use fine cutting wax for polishing (without silicon) to remove traces of coarse wax, then use reducing agent to achieve perfect luster, and then use mirror treatment agent to completely remove halos and scratches.

Sheet metal painting is a maintenance project with high technical content and many procedures, which requires standardized and meticulous maintenance work. Delivery efficiency and quality directly affect the production and operation of 4S shops and repair shops.
