Parents 1948 immigrated to the United States from China. Shortly thereafter, my brother and I were born and became the first American-born members of our family. Before coming to the United States, my parents worked very hard for life, and such a big sacrifice was for our better life.

In the past, our father worked seven days a week and our mother worked all day. I still remember that every morning when she drove to work, I waved goodbye to her, then hung a bunch of home keys around my neck and walked to school alone. After school, I returned to my empty home. When my mother finally comes back, she has to clean the house and prepare dinner, so she has no time to help me with my homework or play with me. In retrospect, I found that this situation cultivated my independent thinking character, because I had to figure out how to do things by myself. But I was disgusted at the time. In the mid-1950s of 19, everyone stayed at home except my mother and traveled to the parent-teacher association and Xiao Xu. I don't want to be an exception. I still remember the only birthday party in my childhood; My parents are always busy with their work. I swear that when I am a parent, I will do it in different ways.

Since it is so difficult for parents to make a living, education is also very important to them. Father believes that education can make a brilliant life. He always said, "People can take away your house and property, but they can't take away what you have learned." I also have high expectations for myself, so I worked hard throughout high school to get myself into college. I studied business and design at the University of California, Berkeley, and then went to Northwestern University to study MBA in marketing and finance. I am determined to succeed, and I make money to make my own choices. I worked as a marketing manager in several big companies, such as Johnson & Johnson, Hunter-Wei Sen Food Company and Revlon Cosmetics Company, and then I became the marketing director of Mattel. These jobs are undoubtedly very hot, so I often go home until midnight. When I enjoy success and challenges, I really want a family. However, under such an overloaded work schedule, I can't imagine how I can have a child. I decided to take a jewelry making class and have a good time. I really enjoyed this course and made myself jewelry. When I take it with me, people always mention this jewel and ask where it comes from. Amazing and impressive, I made a work of art, which attracted me deeply, so one day, I took a shoe box of jewelry to work and began to sell it to my colleagues after work. A lady asked me if I could take my successfully made jewels home to show to some of her friends.
