This nine-story pagoda is located in Qinghai, China. Strictly speaking, it is not just a pagoda, but a group of tombs. Local residents call it "Wei Xue No.1 Tomb". The name sounds a little bloody. There are hundreds of small tombs around this big tomb, and the densest place of tombs is the hot water ditch, so it was officially changed to the "hot water tomb". The hot tomb is very old, which originated from the first prosperous dynasty in China-the Tang Dynasty. Judging from the excavated objects, these tombs should be those of Tuguhun royal family in Tang Dynasty.
People call it the nine-story pagoda for a reason, because this tomb has nine floors from top to bottom, just like the Pharaoh's tomb in Egypt. In addition to this reason, there is a short story: According to legend, in 663, the Tubo people attacked the Tuyuhun dynasty, and the defeated Tuyuhun king fled with his wife and wanted to ask for help from the Tang Dynasty. Unexpectedly, all the troops sent by the Tang Dynasty were defeated, and finally the Tuyuhun Kingdom was destroyed, and all the people in the kingdom were brutally killed. After the war, in order to prevent the people who died tragically from retaliating, the Tubo people called the soul of Tuyuhun a monster. Over time, this place has become a well-known 90% pagoda.
Although this place was sparsely populated and lacked food and water, it was still very prosperous in the Tang Dynasty. At present, only two floors of the nine-story pagoda have been excavated, but the cultural relics unearthed on these two floors have been amazing. There are countless exquisite Tang Dynasty products, as well as some gold and silver jewelry, pottery, animal bones and foreign coins. These things provide a basis for people to study the history of the Tang Dynasty.
Now this ancient tomb has only been excavated for two floors, and no one dares to dig any further. First, because safety issues have been considered, the further down, the greater the probability of accidents, the deeper the depth, and the less oxygen. The second point is to protect these objects. The whole structure of the mausoleum is made of wood. More than a thousand years have passed, and now these Woods have been corroded for a long time, and they may be broken by then. Without their support, these precious objects will never reappear, which is a great loss for historical research. This is the mainstream view, but some people say it is because there are some strange things in it.
