Chang 'an, the capital of Han and Tang Dynasties, has become the most influential capital of China. After Liu Bang established the Han Dynasty, Xianyang was destroyed by Xiang Yu, and the capital was rebuilt in the south of Xianyang, named Chang 'an, which means "long-term stability".
"Historical Records" wrote: "Han Chang 'an, Qin Xianyang. "
Chang 'an is in the south of Wei River and Xianyang is in the north of Wei River, but it is actually a city.
Chang 'an in Han Dynasty was originally a part of Xianyang in Qin Dynasty, and Chang 'an City itself was built on the site of Xianyang in Qin Dynasty.
Xianyang City has been expanding southward since King Huiwen of Qin Dynasty, and there are buildings such as Zhangtai, Xingle Palace, Ganquan Palace, Xin Palace, Epang Palace and Seven Halls in the south of Weihe River. After Liu Bang won the world, he changed the Xingle Palace in Qin Xiu to Changle Palace, and built Weiyang Palace on the basis of Qin Zhangtai.
So Xianyang or Chang 'an just have different names.
