Nethersole Hospital has always played an extremely important role in medical services in Hong Kong, and it is the first Chinese hospital to adopt western medicine. Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital is located in Nethersole New Hospital in Tai Po, New Territories. It is an emergency general hospital with modern buildings and advanced medical facilities, providing specialist outpatient and full-time emergency services.
The new hospital has been in service since January, 1997, with 4 beds. It is now affiliated to the hospitals in new territories east cluster of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority.
The emblem of the old hospital consists of three parts: the cross, love and running water, which means that the hospital provides holistic care and treatment for people in need in the spirit of the cross and the love of Christ.
