Can apple muscles be exercised?

The apple muscles can be exercised.

1. Use the fingers of both hands to draw circles on the cheekbones.

2. Use the fingertips of both hands to gently push down on the lower eye socket.

3. Use the pad of your thumb to push up the muscles below the cheekbone. :

The apple muscle

is not a muscle, it is mainly the adipose tissue in front of the cheekbones. The location of the "apple muscle" is an inverted triangle-shaped tissue two centimeters below the eye. When you smile or make an expression, your face will bulge slightly due to the squeezing of facial muscles. It looks like a round and shiny apple, hence the name "apple muscle".

The apple muscles will shrink with age and appear aging. Restoring the fullness of the apple muscles through plastic surgery and filling can make people look younger. Some beautiful women have delicate facial features and good skin, but because they are thin, their faces are boney, and they lack the softening fat bulge in front of the cheekbones (i.e. apple muscles), they feel a little more unapproachable.

Congenital factors: Congenital insufficient support of facial bones, that is, sunken cheekbones, manifested as wide and flat cheekbones, protruding maxillary teeth, obvious tear trough and nasolabial folds, etc. Such problems are mostly caused by genetics, acquired skeletal development, etc. In severe cases, surgery is required to solve them.

Acquired factors: Apple muscles are particularly developed and obvious in babies and young adults. As age increases, the skin's collagen and fat are lost, and the apples of the skin gradually become sunken and sagging, making the skin look old and lifeless. The tear troughs and nasolabial folds are deepened, and the appearance quickly looks old.
