What are the repair techniques for car body dents?
The repair method of the car body pit is as follows:

1. pit repair of single-layer body metal plate

Because the metal plate is stretched, there will be fine pits compared with the original state. At this time, a wooden hammer or a plastic hammer can be used to tap gently from behind the pit, and at the same time, a suitable wooden block can be selected to pad the metal plate to avoid the impact force of the hammer knocking around the pit.

2, sandwich metal plate pit repair

Because the pit is laminated metal plate or other reasons, the hammer can't work behind the pit. At this time, you can use the following methods to repair it:

(1) drilling method

This method is suitable for small pits with little damage to sheet metal and paint. Drill a row of small holes in depressions or folds with a hand electric drill. The hole diameter and hole spacing should be determined according to the deformation of the outer panel of the car body.

(2) Pull ring method

This method is suitable for large-area damage and can reduce the damage to sheet metal parts caused by excessive perforation. Hook the small holes and pull them out one by one until they are fully recovered. When drawing, each hand can hold two pull rods, and both hands should exert force evenly. Pull slowly, not too hard. After leveling, weld the hole with carbon dioxide gas shielded welding.

(3) The welding method is as follows:

A, the welding gun is perpendicular to the board face, aiming at the center of the hole.

B, insert the welding wire into the hole, short press the switch to excite the arc, and then release the switch.

C, the welding wire forms a molten pool in the hole, and then solidifies. If the aperture is large, the welding torch moves slowly along the periphery of the hole to the center of the hole, and the welding spot should be slightly higher than the plate surface. Too high will bring difficulties to polishing, otherwise it will make the strength insufficient.
