The picture of the difference between fake and real hip width is as follows:
There are also so-called real and fake hip widths. The biggest difference between them is the different positions. The true hip width is located in the normal crotch, that is, between the thigh and the waist, while the false hip width is usually at the root of the thigh, below the crotch, which visually makes the thigh thick.
True hip width is generally natural, and the leg shape looks very straight and slender, which will not affect the shape of the leg. False hip width is usually acquired. Due to poor sitting and walking postures, fat accumulates at the roots of the thighs, resulting in false hip width. It is also accompanied by characteristics such as inward buckling of the legs and valgus calves.
Causes of false hip width:
1. Long-term bad posture, such as cross-legging, which will cause the hip joint to be in a state of internal rotation for a long time, causing the crotch position to visually decrease. Creates a posture with false hip width.
2. The strength of the hip muscles is imbalanced, and the core cannot maintain balance, resulting in twisting of the hips when walking, causing the greater trochanter of the femur to bulge, resulting in false hips.
