1) The pulse signal is rich in high-frequency harmonics, but the bandwidth of your simple filter circuit is insufficient, which filters out the needed harmonics, just like the square wave becomes a triangular wave after passing through the RC circuit, so to broaden the bandwidth of this filter, you need to reduce the time constant;

2) Usually, the pulse signal does not need a filter, but a shaping circuit, such as a comparator circuit;
