Zheng He's real name: Ma.

Character profile: Zheng He (137 1 year-1433), a Hui eunuch, was originally named Ma, posthumous title, from Baoxiangshan Village, Kunyang, Yunnan (now Kunyang Street, Jinning). China was a navigator and diplomat in the Ming Dynasty.

During the Jingnan Rebellion, Ma He made a meritorious military service for Judy, the Prince of Yan, in Zhengzhou, Hebei Province (now Renqiu, Hebei Province, not Zhengzhou, Henan Province, and now Dongba Village, Beijing). In the second year of Yongle (1404), in order to commemorate his meritorious service, Ming Taizu gave Ma and Zheng two surnames in Nanjing Imperial Book, which was called Zheng He in history. In the supervision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he was promoted to eunuch, with four products, ranking second only to Silijian. Zheng He was resourceful and learned how to fight. Ming Chengzu trusted Zheng He very much. From 1405 to 1433, Zheng He made seven voyages to the Western Ocean, which made great achievements in human history. In the sixth year of Xuande (143 1), Zheng He was made a three-treasure eunuch. In April of the eighth year of Xuande (1433), Zheng He died in Guri on the west coast of India and was buried in Niushou Mountain in Nanjing.
