3. But in fact, Yan Yanzhi's poetic talent and achievements are far less than Xie Lingyun's. According to the Biography of Heather Yan Yanzhi, Yan Zhi once asked Bao Zhao who had more spiritual luck than his poems. Bao Zhao responded like this: "Xie is as lovely as the first hibiscus; If your poems are embroidered, they will be full of carvings. " It shows that Yan is Rain Hua, but the lettering and chiseling are not natural enough. This comment is very pertinent. Moreover, he used allusions, which were difficult to read and fluent.

Therefore, although he was born in poverty and has a little pride, he should not be as famous as Xie Lingyun in terms of literary achievements.
