Will 430 material rebound if it bends for a long time? Bending is used in all walks of life, such as architectural decoration, office equipment, automatic financial cabinets and so on. There are many things that are bent. For bent products, we generally evaluate the quality and quantity of bent parts. Quality is divided into the accuracy of size and angle, as well as indentation, wear and warping deformation on the surface of bending parts, and quantity refers to productivity.

Causes of bending springback of sheet metal

The so-called bending is the deformation of tensile stress and compressive stress on the front and back of the same plate. After the plate is bent to the target angle, once the pressure is removed, the material will return to its original shape due to tensile stress and compressive stress, which is called bending springback.

Bending springback is generally expressed by angle, which will be influenced by material, plate thickness, pressure and bending radius. It is very difficult to calculate the bending springback accurately.

The reaction force varies with the pressure applied to the bending material. Once the pressure is removed, the angle will rebound in the direction of narrowing. We call this phenomenon reduction rebound.

1. Under the condition of using the same mold and the same material thickness, the springback SPCC < Al < SUS.

2. When using the same mold and the same material, the smaller the thickness of the material, the greater the springback.

3. For the same material, the greater the R when bending, the greater the springback.

4. The greater the bending pressure, the smaller the springback.

The next three are the most common bending methods.

1. Stamping and bending

Stamping bending not only has high precision, but also has a small internal R, and its pressure is about 5-8 times higher than that of closed bending.

V-groove density: the density of V-groove in stamping bending is less than that in closed bending, usually 5 times of the plate thickness. This is to reduce the internal R of the workpiece, thereby reducing the amount of the upper die tip biting into the R part of the workpiece and reducing the area of the V-shaped groove to obtain higher surface pressure.

Pressure limit: Due to the great pressure required for bending, the thickness of SPCC and SUS should not exceed 2mm and 1.5mm respectively, because the pressure required for punching bending of 2mmSPCC is 1 100KN, and the maximum pressure resistance of the die is 1000KN, which exceeds the pressure resistance value of the die. (Because the pressure resistance values of various molds are different, not all molds can process 2 mmsoc materials. )

The problem of stamping bending: Because of the great bending force, the tonnage of the machine tool must also be increased, and the wear of the die will increase, so only the die with high pressure resistance can be used.
