Various graphics of mechanical drawing:
The figure expressing the shape of mechanical structure is a figure obtained by orthographic projection (that is, the projection of machine parts to the projection plane). According to the projection direction and the position of the corresponding projection plane, the common views are divided into main view, top view, left view and sectional view (previously called sectional view). (Other views are rear view, bottom view and right view. But not commonly used) view is mainly used to express the external shape of machine parts.
The invisible contour lines in the figure are indicated by dotted lines. When a machine part is projected onto the projection plane, there are two relative positions among the observer, the machine part and the projection plane. When the part is located between the projection plane and the observer, it is called the first angle projection method. When the projection plane is located between the machine part and the observer, it is called the third angle projection method. Both projection methods can express the shape of machine parts equally perfectly.
The national standard of our country stipulates that the first angle projection method should be adopted. The sectional view is to use an imaginary cutting machine to remove the part between the observer and the cutting plane, and project the rest onto the projection plane to get the figure. The sectional view is mainly used to express the internal structure of machine parts. The profile shows only the graphics of the cutting surface. Cross-sectional views are often used to represent the cross-sectional shape of rod-shaped structures.
