By bus: Can it become the dark horse of LBS market segment?
As a LBS market segment, the real-time bus application market with the highest number of users and stickiness has attracted a lot of attention. Last month, Baidu's map department was split into LBS (Location Based Service) business department, and real-time bus became one of the four functions of Baidu Map 4.0, which indicates that the national application of real-time bus will usher in a stronger competitor. Prior to this, Beijing, Hangzhou and Chongqing also launched similar bus application services, and real-time bus is gradually entering people's field of vision. However, the application of real-time bus in most areas is limited to providing services for local residents, and it has not formed a national application. However, the low-key bus ride has become a dark horse in the real-time bus segment. Recently, after Xiamen, Fuzhou, Wuxi, Jiangmen, Haiyan, Quanzhou, Putian and Heyuan, Haining has been opened. Ride treasure has become the real-time bus query software with the widest coverage and the largest number of users in China. Pinghu, Urumqi, Meizhou, Jintan, Foshan, Xiangtan and other regions have achieved data docking and will be launched one after another. At present, second-and third-tier cities are the main cities where buses are opened, and real-time data docking of more than 20,000 buses has been realized. The core application of bus ride is to realize the real-time data query service between the user's location and the corresponding bus through geographical location. At the same time, through the geographical location to achieve integration with surrounding businesses. By the end of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, our urbanization level will reach 52%, which will inevitably lead to the increasing demand for urban public transport. It is predicted that by 20 15, the total amount of urban public transport will reach10 billion passengers, with an average annual growth rate of about 6%, and the real-time bus market has unlimited prospects. Free ride is positioned as a national real-time intelligent bus application, but there are still many problems to be solved to cover the whole country: giants such as Baidu and Tencent have stepped in one after another, local bus companies have no willingness to provide data, the intelligent dispatching systems used by local bus companies are not unified, and the profit model is not clear. For the application of real-time bus LBS in the future, the author thinks that it is necessary to combine more extended applications on the basis of real-time bus to prolong users' access time and strengthen users' stickiness.
