How to repair the shape of ginkgo tree (share the modeling skills of ginkgo tree)
Ginkgo biloba, native to China, is an ancient tree species in the Ice Age.

Because of its beautiful tree shape, long service life (there are more than 3,000 ginkgo trees in Fulaishan, Juxian County, Shandong Province), its leaves turn yellow in autumn, its ability to adapt to the climate and its strong function of vacuuming and removing waste gas are listed as landscape trees in many cities.

Today, I would like to share with you the problems that need to be paid attention to when modeling ginkgo bonsai.

1, Ginkgo biloba characteristics

Ginkgo biloba has survived on the earth for tens of millions of years, which is not easy. It has its own survival secrets.

Let's take a look at the characteristics of ginkgo biloba: First, we are afraid of waterlogging and drought. Waterlogging can cause rotten roots to drown it, and dry leaves can't kill it. In Shandong, it is the first tree species to lose its leaves when it is short of water.

Second, the branches of Ginkgo biloba are very fragile, with strong germination and weak branch formation, similar to persimmon trees. In other words, the sprouted annual branches are mostly short branches and middle branches, and the long branches are few.

Thirdly, the root system of Ginkgo biloba belongs to semi-fleshy root with thick phloem. Mastering the above characteristics, we can accurately grasp the climbing time and use climbing skills in modeling.

The best modeling time of Ginkgo biloba is the most vigorous growth time, that is, July-September in the north and June-65438+10 in the south.

If the ginkgo we start with is an old pile and needs to be cut dry, then the cutting time should be before germination.

2. Suitable modeling and technology of Ginkgo biloba.

Because the growth rate of ginkgo seedlings is slow, and the grafted seedlings of female plants bear fruit in three to five years. Therefore, as a bonsai, Ginkgo rarely adopts the method of pruning and saving branches. Generally, it is the method of climbing branches and storing branches.

In terms of modeling and composition, the straight dry type and cliff type of old piles are rare. The commonly used ones are curved dry type, oblique dry type, jungle type, hyperbolic type, double oblique type and literati type, and some are made into waterfront modeling.

Note here that some experienced experts often use docking technology to make trunks and root plates, but people without greenhouse or northern experience should not use this method.

It not only needs technical ability to connect larger ginkgo, but also depends on the green environment.

3. Key points of Ginkgo biloba modeling

Ginkgo bonsai needs to grasp the following three points: first, choose the climbing technique with suitable shape. There are many climbing techniques in domestic bonsai industry, such as Yang, Sichuan, Guangdong, Lingnan and Anhui.

But when it comes to rock climbing, the rock climbing techniques in Yangzhou and Nantong are perfect. For example, the climbing techniques of Yang school, such as far brown, short brown, gathered brown, bottom brown and even brown, each brown method corresponds to different branches and parts, and different styles and seasons are also different.

Sometimes the author is confused when he sees so many classifications. If you don't know the classification of brown, just remember the main climbing skills above.

For example, short brown and brown are mostly thick branches; Even the palms are mostly climbing the same side branches, sometimes climbing both sides branches at the same time; Far brown mainly plays a pulling role.

The second is climbing time. Never climb ginkgo during hibernation. No matter how careful you are, you will break the branches.

Third, ginkgo takes a detour. In the growing season, metal wires can be used to climb small billets.

3-5-year-old blank, if you don't have a partner, you can cut it low or high, and try to cut it obliquely into a wedge, instead of sticking to the traditional 45 degrees.

If you have suitable partners, such as black pine, masson pine, persimmon, golden marble and Cyclobalanopsis, try to keep them, because ginkgo grows too slowly.

Sometimes, if the support is higher, the trunk can be cut higher. In the future, you can also make the trunk lower by cutting corners and other bending methods.

You can also use dry pliers to break the line and cross, and try not to use dry bending. To be clear, branch and bend are suitable for fast-growing and soft tree species, such as Podocarpus, Yu Lang and Pu Shu.

When holding a bend, you need to pay attention to winding hemp before operation, applying healing agent after operation, and winding dry branches after bending. For thicker trunks, use brown or thicker wires.

The pile cutting is too high, and the staggered cutting presents a plane, as shown in Figure 4.

4. Take the waterfront ginkgo bonsai as an example.

Taking jacking as the center of gravity, it leans outward at the first bending point of the trunk and swings to the right to raise it; Before the trunk falls, the second bracket extends to the left.

The third branch is a big floating branch, which floats obliquely to the left at the small corner of the trunk; The fourth tray can pass through the trunk with perforated branches to increase the amount of branches and leaves; The tail tip rises, and other branchlets support the tip at a small angle.

The specific practices of waterfront ginkgo biloba: First, the trunk should not be too smooth, and brown short brown should be used in the growing period. At the first turning point, the song should be played first and then the song should be played to prevent the trunk from breaking.

The second inflection point begins with Daqu and ends with Xiaoqu. All the curvatures are different, big and small, which makes the curvature of the trunk more and more dynamic.

The second is to cultivate branches similar to other bonsai materials, highlight floating branches and auxiliary branches, and sacrifice branches should not be too dense.

Third, there are generally two situations of topping. First, the top branches are too long, and the side branches are few and short.

In this case, remember not to use topping measures, but to climb, bend and level until the short branches sprout on the long branches.

Secondly, before sprouting in spring, select strong buds and cut them short, forming 3-4 top branches at a time. There are three short top branches that can form 10 top branches, and so on.

Conclusion: Even in the growing season, the branches of Ginkgo biloba are fragile when used as bonsai. If you want to bend three inches, try using a set of brown when climbing to bend the branches into a spiral shape.

The specific method is to wrap the brown silk around a long branch, and cover the palm with one palm, so that the branch can bend and change without breaking.
