Part I: Necessary baking tools

Oven is the main force of baking and an indispensable tool. Choosing a favorite oven is the first step in baking delicious western pastry.

Microwave ovens can't replace ovens. Their heating principles are completely different. There is no microwave oven with barbecue function.

Baking is an absolutely indispensable tool. West Point is different from Chinese food. It pays attention to quantity and the proportion of ingredients must be accurate.

Baking tray, baking net, heat-insulating handle

Most bread, biscuits and cakes need to be baked on a baking tray. It is better to have two baking trays, which is more convenient for daily use (such as biscuits, not one baking tray). If you have two baking pans, you can prepare the second baking pan when the first baking pan is baking. Grilled nets can be used not only to roast chicken wings and kebabs, but also as a cooling rack for bread and cakes. Insulated handles (or gloves) can prevent you from getting burnt when holding the baking tray/baking net. These three tools are usually equipped when buying an oven.

Manual eggbeater and electric egg beater.

Whether it's butter, eggs or whipped cream, you need an eggbeater. When some wet materials are mixed together, an eggbeater is needed.

Electric egg beater is more convenient and labor-saving, and it is difficult to beat whole eggs, so you must use electric egg beater. But electric egg beater is not suitable for all occasions. For example, when sending a small amount of butter, or when it is not necessary to send it, just stir the eggs, sugar and oil, and it will be more convenient and faster to use a manual eggbeater. Therefore, both kinds of eggbeaters need to be equipped.

Rubber scraper, plastic scraper

Plastic scraper (I) is a small and useful tool, which can be used in many occasions. When kneading dough, the dough stuck to the chopping board can be shoveled off with it. It can also help us move the shaped dough to the baking tray.

Rubber scraper (bottom) is a flat soft scraper, which is suitable for mixing batter. It is the most powerful tool when making Qifeng cake and mixing egg white paste with egg yolk paste. And while stirring, it can be tightly attached to the bowl wall to scrape off the cake paste attached to the bowl wall.

Stainless steel basin, glass bowl

At least two stainless steel pot or large glass bowls should be prepared to beat eggs, and some small bowls should be prepared to hold all kinds of raw materials.

These two things need not be introduced. However, it needs to be added that it is more recommended to use non-wooden chopping boards to make pasta. Such as metal and plastic chopping boards. Compared with wooden chopping boards, it is not easy to stick and breed bacteria.

Tin paper, oil paper

The baking tray is padded with paper to prevent it from sticking to the baking tray. Sometimes greasing the baking tray can also prevent sticking, but using padding paper can avoid the trouble of cleaning the baking tray. Oil paper is cheaper than tin foil. But tin foil can wrap food during barbecue to prevent water loss. In the baking process, covering the surface of food with a layer of tin foil after coloring can also prevent over-coloring.

Used for screening flour or other powdery raw materials. Sieving flour can not only remove small flour particles from flour, but also make flour more bulky and beneficial to mixing. If there are cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and other powders. In raw materials, it is helpful to mix with flour and sieve.

Cake circular mold (

If you don't make a cake, it's not really baking. There must be at least an 8-inch or 6-inch round cake mold. It will be easier to demould if you buy a movable bottom die. If you want to make Qifeng cake, don't buy non-stick cake molds.
