This center point can be called a transformation point or a reference point. For example, when an object is scaled, the reference point is fixed, while other points change. Of course, when performing some operations, such as moving, we will change this reference point. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that the reference point of an object can be moved anywhere in the AI document, not necessarily in the object.
