Calcium fruit, formerly known as Prunus humilis, is a new high-quality fruit variety unique to China. It was discovered and bred by Professor Du, a Chinese fruit expert, from the wild plant Prunus humilis for nearly 30 years. Its fruit has triple calcium supplement effect and is called "calcium supplement star" and "king of fruit".

Besides being cultivated as a fruit tree for human consumption and processing various foods and drinks, it is also a good material for making miniature bonsai for fruit viewing. Beijing Bureau of Landscape Architecture listed it as a new superior tree species in "New Beijing, Great Olympics" and "Urban Greening Action". The plant height of calcium fruit is 0.5- 1 m, and there is no obvious main branch. The basic branches grow 5-7 times a year, with white flowers or pink flowers. Flowering in early May, it can safely overwinter at the low temperature of -40℃. The root-shoot ratio is 9: 1, and the average tree species is only 3: 1. It is a shrub fruit tree with strong drought resistance. It can blossom and bear fruit normally in areas with annual precipitation of 300mm, can adapt to the vast areas of North China, Central China and South China where the winter temperature is above 0-10℃ for 800 hours, and is most suitable for soil PH value of 7-8 with deep roots.

Garden construction and planting

Choose the flat land or gentle slope with sunny lee, deep soil layer and fertile soil to build the garden. Dig deep into the soil, apply 2000 kilograms of decomposed domestic manure per mu, and flatten the soil. At the end of winter and the beginning of spring, according to the plant spacing of 1m× 1m, a planting hole with a depth of 30cm and a width of 30cm was dug, and 1kg organic fertilizer mixed with garbage manure, human and animal manure and calcium superphosphate was applied at the bottom of the hole, covered with a layer of topsoil, then seedlings were put into the hole, and then backfilled and compacted with soil. Plant 660 plants per mu.

Key points of management

Water 1 time every day for half a month after planting, and the survival rate is high. 2-4 times of intertillage weeding should be carried out during the growth period. Every year in June 5438+ 10, 1 kg decomposed farmyard manure was applied to plants at constructio n, which was 5 cm away from Shubo/kloc-0. In April, 1 topdressing was carried out, and 20 kg urea was applied per mu to promote the growth, flowering and fruiting of spring shoots. In July, the second topdressing was carried out, and Trim compound fertilizer was applied to each mu of water to promote fruit expansion and improve quality. At present, no diseases have been found, and the main pests are aphids, fruit eaters and almond bees, which can be controlled by spraying 40% dimethoate 1200 times.

Plastic trimming

Adopt cluster or natural happiness. After planting, the height of the seedlings is about 30 cm, and they are trimmed and fixed. Cultivate 3-4 main branches and large, medium and small fruit branches. For auxiliary branches, more erect branches and large branches, the branches are opened at a certain angle in summer to increase the number of medium and short branches. After picking fruits in autumn, cut off branches that are too dense, too thin and sick.

Harvest processing

The fruit period is from the beginning of August to the end of September, and the weight of a single fruit is 6-8 grams, and the maximum is 10 gram. After harvest, fresh fruits can be sold or processed into fruit juice, fruit wine, preserved fruit and canned food.
