Rear-end collision refers to the behavior that the front of the rear car collides with the rear of the front car when the vehicles driving in the same lane follow. It is mainly caused by the following distance being less than the minimum safe distance and the slow response of the driver or the poor performance of the braking system.
Cause of rear-end collision
You can often see such a scene on the loop: a car is walking slowly in the fast lane, with a distance from the front car, but it is followed by a series of anxious and helpless cars, and the whole fast lane is slower than the slow lane because of this car. To put it bluntly, this phenomenon can be described as "a mouse excrement spoils a pot of porridge".
Drivers driving at high speed in the fast lane have two adverse consequences: first, it is easy to cause several or even dozens of trailing vehicles to be crushed, and the speed cannot be raised, so the "fast lane" is not worthy of the name; Second, it is easy to cause the driver behind the car to be agitated and eager to overtake, which makes the road section disorderly and is not conducive to safety.
