I. white pagoda park
Liaoyang white pagoda park, built in 1908, covers an area of 8 hectares and is located on the north side of Zhonghua Street in front of the station. There are four tourist areas in the park, including historical sites, flower viewing, children's entertainment and animal viewing. Built in Liao Dynasty, the White Pagoda is the tallest tower in Northeast China and one of the six pagodas in China. 1988 was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
Fangqun Garden consists of greenhouses and gardens in the park, and has cultivated hundreds of species and thousands of pots of exotic flowers and herbs, including precious cycads and peonies, which are fragrant all year round. Children's playground is equipped with slides, turntables, swings, space shuttles, overhead vehicles, bumper cars and other amusement facilities, which is a world for children to play.
Second, Guangyou Temple
Liaoyang Guangyou Temple, which was founded in the Eastern Han Dynasty, is one of the earliest temples after Buddhism was introduced into China. It was once the spreading center of Buddhist culture in northeast China, and played an important role in making Liaoyang (then called Liaodong County and Liaoyang Prefecture in Tokyo) the political and cultural center in northeast China.
In the past 1000 years, Guangyou Temple has undergone many renovations and expansions. Now it has become a national AAAA-level tourist area, the top ten tourist attractions in Liaoning Province, the top ten honest scenic spots in Liaoning Province, the demonstration unit of honest scenic spots in Liaoning Province, and the certification unit of ISO900 and environmental 1400 1 international system standards.
Third, Liaoyang Museum
Liaoyang Museum is a historical and artistic museum with local characteristics, and it is a cultural institution integrating the collection, research and publicity of historical relics in the city.
The former site of the museum was originally the residence of Peng Xian, the general office of the official bank of the three northeastern provinces and the president of the northeast border bank during the warlord rule. Covering an area of more than 20,000 square meters, the building area is nearly 3,000 square meters. It is a quadrangle-style building with three entrances, a hall and two gardens, which is modeled after the palaces of the Qing Dynasty.
