What is the common sense of China folk traditional cotton cloth?
Cloth made of cotton yarn. Is the floorboard of all kinds of cotton textiles. Mostly used to make fashion, casual wear, underwear and shirts. Its advantages are easy to keep warm, soft and close-fitting, moisture absorption and air permeability. Its disadvantage is that it is easy to shrink and wrinkle, and its appearance is not crisp and beautiful, so it must be ironed often when wearing it.

The main types are:

1, hemp yarn

Hemp yarn is usually interwoven with weft heavy plain weave into plain weave, but it is also interwoven with other varied weaves. It is made of fine cotton yarn or polyester cotton yarn, and the twist of warp yarn is higher than that of weft yarn and warp yarn used in plain cloth, so the fabric has quite cool characteristics, similar to linen fabric. The fabric surface presents fine stripes with different widths and longitudinal widths. This material is light and thin, with clear stripes, quite cool and breathable, and comfortable to wear. There are bleaching, dyeing, printing, yarn-dyed, jacquard and other varieties. Used as fabrics for men's and women's summer shirts, children's underwear and skirts.

2. Twill

Twill fabrics are usually woven with 2/ 1↖ weave, with obvious twill lines on the front and fluff on the back. Single yarn is used in both warp and weft directions, the linear density is close, and the warp density of the fabric is slightly higher than the weft density. Fine twill woven with fine tex yarn and coarse twill woven with medium tex yarn. The raw materials used are pure cotton, viscose fiber and polyester cotton. Denim is tight and thick, and it feels soft. A small amount is sold in the market, mainly used as quilts and underwear. Most of them process colored cloth and printed cloth. Twill is used in uniforms, sportswear fabrics and clothes pegs. Flower twill is used for women's and children's wear. The big flower slanting can be used as a quilt cover.

3.khaki

Khaki is a twill fabric. According to the warp and weft used, the varieties can be divided into cable card (both warp and weft), half-thread card (both warp and weft) and yarn card (both warp and weft). After dyeing, it is mainly used for spring, autumn and winter clothing fabrics and windbreaker and raincoat fabrics. Sharjah is mainly used as a fabric for coats and work clothes.

Step 4 lock

Serge is also made of twill. According to the different materials used in warp and weft directions, it can be divided into yarn serge (single yarn is used in both warp and weft directions) and line serge (single yarn is used in both warp and weft directions). This kind of fabric with opposite twill direction feels thick and soft. The main raw materials used are pure cotton, cotton viscose and viscose fiber. Serge is mostly used for bleaching and dyeing grey cloth, and after dyeing, it is used as cloth for men's and women's clothes and children's hats. Yarn serge is also used for printing. After processing, it can be made into clothes for women and children.

5. gabardine

Gabardine is also woven in twill. Its characteristic is that the warp density is about twice as high as the weft density, so the diagonal is larger. Fabric tightness is less than khaki and greater than serge. This kind of cloth is harder than serge, but not as thick as khaki. According to the different materials used in the warp and weft directions, it can be divided into yarn gabardine (single yarn is used in both the warp and weft directions), half-thread gabardine (single yarn is used in both the warp and weft directions) and full-line gabardine (double yarn is used in both the warp and weft directions), but they all adopt 2/2↗ weave. The raw materials used in this fabric are pure cotton, cotton viscose, cotton dimension and polyester cotton. The texture of the fabric is clear, the texture is thick and the surface of the fabric is shiny. The dyed fabrics are used as fabrics for men's and women's clothing in spring, autumn and winter.
