Dahongmen clothing wholesale market is the largest clothing distribution market north of the Yangtze River in China. Dahongmen Clothing City, New Century Mall and other large-scale clothing fabric markets enjoy high popularity in Beijing, even in North China and Northeast China.

Origin of the name: In the 12th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (14 14), when Nanhaizi, a royal garden, was expanded, it opened four doors, namely Donghongmen, Xihongmen, Nanhongmen and Beihongmen, and the Beihongmen was the main entrance of Nanyuan. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, five more doors were added, namely nine doors. A gate called xiaohongmen was built to the east of the North Red Gate. The original North Red Gate was renamed North Dahongmen, later referred to as Dahongmen.
