First, the theme of the exhibition is clear.
This exhibition of the Palace Museum introduces the planning, layout, architecture, palace life, construction, repair and protection of the Forbidden City with three themes and 18 historical node clues, so as to facilitate the audience to understand the history and culture that runs through the Forbidden City, feel the highest state of the perfect combination of palace architectural technology and art, and experience the infinite charm of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
Second, the exhibition used a new method in "storytelling" to make the literature and old photos not boring.
This time, we introduce the perspective of the parties in the exhibition, look for materials from their diaries, memoirs and articles, and experience the supplementary literature from a vivid first perspective.
For example, when talking about Puyi's departure from the palace, we used the memories of three people, namely, grandson Puyi, Minister of the Interior and Zeng, who implemented the "revised preferential conditions for clearing houses" at that time, providing the audience with different perspectives to understand this historical event.
600 years of history and culture have also gathered the labor wisdom of the Chinese nation in the production process.
The lacquered yarn exhibited in Ningshougong District, the exhibition hall of the main building, was made in 1773, which is the first time for it to meet the public in more than 200 years. Because of its fragile surface condition, I'm afraid it won't be easy to show it publicly in the future.
Third, feel the evolution of time in the exhibition hall.
In addition to the exhibits, the concept of time evolution has also been integrated into the design of the exhibition hall. I want to invite the audience to feel the flow of time and life in the Forbidden City.
Through the changing scenes of the four seasons in the city, the exhibition fits the evolution of the Forbidden City time described in the exhibition. Show the audience the image of spring, summer, autumn and winter, the sun, the moon and the stars, which will change forever.
When the audience enters the exhibition hall, a sleeping cat can be seen on a page at the entrance of the West Goose Wing. Let the audience truly feel that in the Forbidden City, not only time passes, but also life passes.
Fourth, some cultural relics were exhibited for the first time.
1, two pages in Mr. Xu's official history atlas
The Official History Atlas of Xu Xiaoqing is the national treasure of the Palace Museum, with a total of 26 editions. This album is actually a resume of an official in the form of painting. On the right of each painting are the paintings painted by Shi Yu and Wu Yue, and on the left are the poems written by Xu Xiaoqing. This album depicts 26 important moments or unforgettable memories in Mr. Xu's life, and summarizes his life course from twelve to fifty-one.
He Beijie, director of the Xiyanchilou Exhibition Hall, introduced that "Xu Xiaoqing's Official Atlas" comprehensively and truly recorded Xu Xiaoqing's growth and official career as an academician of the Ming Dynasty.
This exhibition shows two pages in the photo album. The audience can vividly see the real scenes of the meridian gate and the Hall of Supreme Harmony Square in the middle and late period of the Forbidden City more than 400 years ago, and can also find the clues of the architectural changes of the Forbidden City in Ming and Qing Dynasties like Sherlock Holmes.
2. The famous "little beast" in the Forbidden City
The famous "little beast" of the Forbidden City was also "moved" from the roof to the exhibition hall. According to Jason, curator of the exhibition hall of the main building, this set of small animals was the original work when the Hall of Supreme Harmony was rebuilt in the thirty-fourth year of Kangxi (1695). Every small animal has a beautiful symbolic meaning, especially the last one, Shi Hang, which only appears in the Hall of Supreme Harmony. It is an isolated case and the embodiment of the highest level in the Hall of Supreme Harmony.
When the Hall of Supreme Harmony was first built, it was called Fengtian Hall. Later, it was burned down many times. In the 18th year of Kangxi (1679), it was burned again on February 3rd. Because it is difficult to find good materials and obtain wood, it took more than ten years to prepare the materials for this project. It was not until the thirty-fourth year of Kangxi that construction was started, and it was completed two years later, and today's shape was formed. "
3. Ningshou red lacquered yarn
Liu Mengyu, a member of the curatorial group, said that the lacquered yarn to be exhibited in Ningshou Palace, the exhibition hall of the main building, was made in 1773, which is the first time that it has been seen by the public for more than 200 years. Because of its fragile surface condition, I'm afraid it won't be easy to show it publicly in the future. The eaves decoration of Ningshou Palace Garden was recognized as the peak level of craftsmanship in Qianlong period, which was unparalleled in the Forbidden City.
The complexity and difficulty of this kind of lacquered yarn are among the best even in Ningshou Palace Garden. With today's scientific and technological means, we can't fully understand the process, let alone copy it as it is.
5. The C position of Jin Ou Gu Yong Cup appeared again.
The Jin 'ou Gu Yong Cup was exhibited in the center of the main hall of the Wumen Gate. The last exhibition was the Spring Festival Exhibition of the Forbidden City from 20 18 to 20 19. This gorgeous cup is also one of the important props of the Spring Festival in the Qing Dynasty, which is used for the pen opening ceremony by the window.
At 0: 00 on New Year's Day, the emperor put a cup of Jin 'ou in the bright window of hall of mental cultivation Dongnuange, and poured Tu Su wine for drinking. The emperor personally lit the candles on the jade candlestick, smoked evergreen pens on the eight auspicious stoves, wrote auspicious words and sealed them in a yellow box.
