On the way down the mountain, Mr. Kan Kan talked and told the reporter a poetic story.
Legend has it that the Phoenix is produced in the Qinling Mountains, where the climate is mild and the scenery is beautiful, and it is the place where the Phoenix lives and multiplies. A long time ago, a phoenix flew out of the mountains and landed in the state of Qin, making it difficult to take off. I happened to meet the king of Qin on a trip and found a phoenix on the ground, so I touched it myself and lifted it. And said, Impatiens, why are you here? Now you can fly to the blue sky. Impatiens thanked the king of Qin for his help and flew away slowly. The place where the king of Qin helped the phoenix was called Fufeng, and the place where the phoenix was in the air was called Fengxiang.
Phoenix flew all the way, leaving many relics. Later, all the place names related to Phoenix were said to be related to this impatiens.
It is said that when impatiens flew over the Qinling Mountains, it was discovered by Qinglong there, and Qinglong jumped up and followed impatiens. Impatiens flew to the source of Ganquan River and found many beautiful rocks below, including Shi Lian and stone boats. It believes that this may be a clean holy place where Guanyin Bodhisattva once practiced. Then slowly land. The flying dragon found that Impatiens had landed and rested, so it also landed opposite Impatiens.
After Qinglong and Impatiens met, they were suddenly confused by the phantom produced by Impatiens in front of them, and they were crazy inside. When it woke up, it was noticed by the old gentleman in heaven, and God killed the dragon with a knife. Impatiens hurried forward and was about to speak when the old gentleman on the throne pulled out his finger again. Longfeng immediately turned the mountain into a shadow and put his head on the east and west sides, forming two peaks, namely, the dragon head in the west and the phoenix head in the east, so it was called Longfeng Mountain.
Since then, whenever the clouds cover the mountains, dragons and phoenixes fly in the clouds. Dragon and phoenix also often cover the rain for the people, cut evil spirits and drive away evil spirits, and one side is clear.
The local monks, Taoist disciples and all the people remembered the blessing of the dragon and phoenix, so it was convenient to build a temple on the dragon head and a Taoist temple on the phoenix head. Since the temple Taoist temple was built, the weather has been favorable and the people have lived in peace. Every year, on the Taoist Temple Fair Day on March 3rd and the Bafosi Temple Fair Day on April 1, the good men and women in the surrounding villages will help the old and bring up the young and dress up for sacrifice.
Hanwang temple visits the ancient times
The car got off the southern foot of Longfeng Mountain and arrived at the entrance of Hanwang Temple in Huaguoshan. Huaguoshan is a branch of Longfeng Mountain, and Hanwang Temple is built at the top of Huaguoshan Mountain, which is about 0/2 km east of Wudu City.
According to Liu Lao, Hanwang Temple and Longfeng Mountain Buddhist Temple were built in the same period and belong to the main cultural relics of Longfeng Mountain. Because of its unique name, its source has become mysterious, and local people have different opinions and many rumors.
The newly-built Hanwang Temple is a Buddhist temple with a Taoist temple in the middle and a Wang Long Temple at the bottom. It is said that it was built in imitation of an old temple, but the scale is different from before.
During the visit, Liu Lao introduced that Hanwang Temple was built in the Eastern Han Dynasty and changed to Fuqing Temple in the Song Dynasty. According to the "Continued Records of Jizhou Zhili Prefecture" compiled in the 12th year of Guangxu reign of Qing Dynasty, Fuqing Temple was rebuilt 30 miles east of the prefecture, during the Wanli period of Song and Ming Dynasties. The existing inscriptions of Ming and Qing Dynasties in the temple are also Fuqing Temple. Therefore, the original temple name should be Fuqing Temple.
The original temple climbed up the stairs from the north of the street, and the stone lions squatted on both sides of the mountain gate and entered the mountain gate. It has an anteroom and a backyard, a hall, a monk's room and dining room, clay sculptures and colorful paintings. The whole temple has more than 40 stone carvings and statues. It is a large-scale ancient architectural complex integrating temples, Taoist temples and Wang Long temples. After vicissitudes of life, the original temple stone Buddha statue no longer exists.
Liu Lao believes that in the legend about the origin of the name of Hanwang Temple, only the statement that "Wang Fan Temple is called first, and then Hanwang Temple is changed" is the most reasonable. According to Mr. Liu's visit to the local elderly, it is known that the ancestors of Wang Xingjia, the old resident of Hanwang Street, are Tibetans. According to the local word of mouth and related historical records, the temple was originally named Gandan Temple.
According to legend, during Yang Jiajiang's Western Expedition in the Northern Song Dynasty, the leaders of Tufan, Baima, Bianyi and Qiang in Wudu were their own people, and the battle to kill the thief bridge was a great battle by the Bailong River.
At that time, the local people could hide. Instead of following the leader, the patriarch led the whole family to see Han. After returning to Han Dynasty, Gandan Temple was renamed Fuqing Temple.
Later, everyone in Wang Xing's family said, "We used to be Fan Wang, but now we are Hanwang." . This is an inverted sentence of Tibetan and Chinese. Gandan Temple was originally built by Wang Xing. "The former Wang Fan, now Hanwang." It has been said for a long time, and later generations don't understand its meaning. It was first called Wang Fan Temple and then Hanwang Temple.
