Huaiyuan County is located in the north of Anhui Province, belonging to Bengbu City, the middle reaches of Huaihe River, the southern end of Huaibei Plain, Guzhen, Bengbu and Fengyang in the east, Huainan in the south, Fengtai and Mengcheng in the west and Suixi and Suzhou in the north. It is located between east longitude11645' ~11709' and north latitude 32 43'~ 33 19', with a total area of 2 192 square kilometers. Huaiyuan County has Dahongshan in the southeast, Ping 'a Mountain in the southwest, Jing Mountain and Tuer Mountain in the south of the county across the Huaihe River, and the rest are plains. Among the landforms of remnant hills, except Jing and Tushan, which are 258.4 meters and 338.7 meters above sea level respectively, the others are less than 200 meters. Part of the river bend land is divided into the lowest units such as estuary depression and floodplain slope. The lake is far away from the river, with low terrain, shallow dish-shaped closed depression, difficult drainage and easy accumulation of water. Bend land is distributed on both sides of the river and is deposited by flood and sediment of the river. The high slope between Shanghai Bay land and lake land is gentle slope due to erosion. The whole plain is slightly inclined from northwest to southeast, with a slope of1/8000 ~1/0000, an absolute height of 15.5~25.5 meters, and an area of 2,358.15 square kilometers, accounting for 96% of the national territory.
