The reconstruction and expansion project of Guilin-Liuzhou Expressway starts from Miaoling Hub Interchange, passes through Lingui District of Guilin City, Yongfu County and Luzhai County of Liuzhou City, and ends at Luzhai North Hub Interchange. The project started construction on 20 19 12 19, and the main line length was 10 1.5 km, which was rebuilt and expanded according to the standard of two-way eight-lane expressway.

Guangxi Guilin-Liuzhou Expressway is a part of the national expressway network G72 Quanzhou-Nanning Expressway. It is also an important section of the "Longitudinal 6" line of Guangxi Expressway Network Planning (20 18-2030) and the "artery" of the north-south traffic in Guangxi.
