Guangdong Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as Guangjiu College) is a private higher vocational college that trains high-end professional and technical personnel in tourism and hotel management and modern service industry. College is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, put on record by the Ministry of Education and incorporated into the national unified enrollment plan. It is one of the key construction projects in Guangdong Province during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period.
The college is located in Houjie Education Ecological Park in Dongguan, with a campus area of 908 mu and a construction area of 520,000 square meters. It has a high-standard library, multimedia classrooms, computer rooms, language laboratories and training rooms. Reasons for running Guangdong Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College:
Guangdong's star-rated hotels rank first in the country with nearly 1500, accounting for about 8% of the national total, of which five-star hotels account for a quarter of the country. There are 14 five-star hotels in Dongguan, ranking third in the country, second only to Beijing and Shanghai. There are hotels 130 in houjie town alone, including 4 five-star hotels, which receive nearly 2 million tourists every year.
At present, there is no professional hotel management college in Guangdong province, and the hotel management majors offered by a few domestic universities can not meet the growing demand for talents. Guangdong's huge hotel industry development scale, huge talent demand and supply gap are one of the direct motives for Houjie to organize the Hotel Management Vocational and Technical College.
